I know it’s been a while, here are some highlights of the last few months.

in April I took pictures of Ava, she is a doll!

Our darling nephew came for a visit in February. Briggs Jordan Geraghty.

Easter at Granny and Papaw Glenn’s trying to get all the grandkids with them.

Leo played baseball for the first time this spring.

We went to Hawaii for 12 days in June

Lots going on around the Angotti compound. Meetings at the Museum to get ready for the Haunted house and Feast with the Witches, trip to see Gma and Gpa Hamilton, Some new china and dishes, Visit from the Geraghtys, Baby showers, Colts games, death of a friend’s father, buying of a new ipod touch, finding of the old one, find out I have to get a tooth extracted, Dr. appointments.

Friday before last Mom, the kids and I went to see Granny and Grandpa Glenn. Grandma wanted me to go through some of her stuff and pick out what I wanted. Here is a pic of a set that I got that my grandmother bought piece by piece for her mother.

I got to go visit the haunted house in the last couple of weeks, looking good. It is going to be a great one this year!! And Feast with the witches everyone should bring their kiddos to that too! Got a sneak peak at the Treasure of the Earth that is coming to the Museum in June of next year. Sounds like it is going to be a MUST SEE!!

This past weekend Laura and Peter came in on Thursday evening. We had a nice family dinner and then Friday surprised Barb with a shower for Laura with her friends.

She was soo surprised and I am so happy that she got to celebrate with her friends too. While us ladies were having fun at the shower, Peter and Arthur were at home taking care of the kiddos.

Saturday morning Peter’s brother, Dennis, flew in from LA. Fast forward to Saturday late afternoon and we could all be found at Libby and Emily Hunt’s abode for a shower with Laura’s friends. What a great time! Wonderful food and wonderful people!

Then on Sunday we went to the Colts VS Giants game. What fun!! Unfortunately for Peter and Dennis the Colts were ON!! Here are a couple pics of the boys pouting. But first a picture of Dennis being cocky before the game.

Monday they left to go back to LA. It was a fun filled weekend and we can’t wait to meet the new addition to the family. Monday I also found out that a good friend of mine’s father passed away Saturday. Please keep their family in your prayers.

I love this picture. Leo is so excited about his cousin! We are very excited to go out and visit in March.

And to finish it off, found out today that I get to have a tooth extract! My back tooth has had 2, yes 2, root canals and a crown. I now have a crack in the root and have to have it extracted on Thursday. Not looking forward to it but hopefully it will take care of the pain I have been having in my jaw/tooth for the last couple of months. Hope you are all having a great month!

Most of you have already probably seen this on facebook or email but I wanted to blog it also to try and get as many donations as possible so I can meet my goal of $500.00. All of us have known someone or lost someone to cancer. Be Bold Be Bald is an unusual way of raising money for cancer so of course I had to do it. I love the idea of wearing a bald cap to support those who have lost their hair and fought cancer. Even if you can only donate a dollar or five we will take it! Thank you for considering donating! My brothers wedding was this weekend to a wonderful, beautiful sweet young woman named Ashley. Here are a few pics that I took. Unfortunately Leo would not put his tux or walk the girls down the isle. And he would not get in most of the pics that Stacy was taking.

I do believe a wonderful time was had by all! I feel so fortunate to gain a new sister and another family addition, the Webbers who are wonderful people and we are all so happy to have in our extended family! What a wonderful celebration of a wonderful couple!

Roasted Roma Tomatoes

Here are some pics for my roma tomatoes that I roasted. Recipe (kinda) under the photos.

I have no idea how many tomatoes to use I just did enough to fill the pan.

I am really bad about not using measurements but here is how I did it. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. rub olive oil all of the cookie pan and sprinkle with pepper, salt (I use Kosher) and Oregano and Basil (or any other herb you may want). Cut the romas in half and lay cut half down. Peel a few cloves of garlic and place them throughout the pan (I used 7). Dribble some Olive oil over the tomatoes and put more of the herbs if you like (you will be peeling the skins after they are cooked). Place in the oven for 8 hours. After taking them out and letting them cool a bit peel the skins off. Put into a freezer container with all the drippings from the pan and top off with a little olive oil. Will keep in the freezer for 6 months. I plan to use it to make pasta sauce later but you could do whatever you wanted to do, brushetta? Share your ideas, would love to do other things with it too!!

We left last Wednesday night to go to Ann Arbor to see Arthur’s cousin Drew and his wife and kids, Kim, Jess and Nick. Amaya, Momo and I picked Leo up at school and headed past South Bend to Edwardsburg Michigan to visit with the Fessendens and have a quick dinner. After spending a couple hours there we headed toward Ann Arbor. Amaya fell asleep on the way and Leo finally fell asleep about 30 minutes out, that is until we got there and then he was wide awake. Amaya went straight to bed. Leo was up till 3 AM!! We had so much fun in Michigan! Here are a few pics of our time there.

Last day in NY.

Carrie had to work this morning so I slept in and got my stuff packed. Didn’t have enough room so I had to go buy a new suitcase to fit everything into. After doing that and having an early lunch I sat in Times Square for a while.

Then back to the hotel. So I decided to take some pictures of the bathroom in the lobby. It was really cool!

New York City Day 3

After getting a good nights sleep I still wasn’t feeling 100% so I slept in till 10:30 while Carrie went to see the Intrepid. After that she came back and we headed to Madame Tussauds, King Tut, Toysrus, M&M store, Hershey’s store and back to the hotel to get ready to go to Rock of Ages!

THen of course we could not take pictures in there! Very unfortunate but the exhibit itself was a lot neater than I thought it would be.

Then on to theToysrus, M&M and the Hershey stores.

Then back to get ready for dinner and the show. We ate at a place called Benjamin’s Steakhouse. It was delicious!! But I have no pictures. :-( The on to see

Of course no pictures during the show. It was so funny and fun! I suggest it to anyone who loves 80’s music! One of the sign said that kids 14 and up could come with a parent but I would not have taken my 14 year old to it.

After the show we made our way up to the Empire State Building finally!! We planned to do it and finally did our last night there.

After FINALLY getting up there I took some pictures and we hurried to get out of there since Carrie had to actually do some work the next morning. So we decided to go down the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator. Soon to come my last day in NY, which was not too exciting…

New York Day 2

Once again we hit the ground running on our second day in the big city! Starting with the NBC Tour at 8:30 in the morning. Before going on the tour we stopped by Rockefeller Center where they were taping the Today Show, unfortunately I only took one picture there.

And we were not allowed to take pictures inside the studio Tour so here is one while waiting in line. We got to see the studios where Dr. Oz, Late Night with Jimmy Fallen and Saturday Night Live is taped. And a few other things in the building.

After we did our tour we looked around down in the subway/shopping area below Rockefeller. The we went to the Top of the Rock. Here is a pic of one of the entrances to Rockefeller and here is the elevator ceiling

Then on to the MOMA, deciding we didn’t want to spend all day in museums we picked one or two different exhibits to see and went on our way. Here are a couple photos from MOMA.

After the Moma we hopped on the subway and went way up toward the top of Central Park and walked 5th Ave. down. It was a VERY long walk. We tried to go to the Guggenheim but the line was RIDICULOUS!! So here is a pic of the building. hehe

Then we walked down about 30 blocks more to the Met. Which was very awesome. We chose to go into the Egypt exhibit.

NEW YORK DAY 1!!!

Finally after wanting to go to New York for about 10 years I made it! I went with a friend from our South Bend station, Carrie. It was an awesome trip! What made it even better was that Carrie and I were on the exact same page. See as much as possible in the time we were there and the next time we made it to the Big Apple we would be a little less hit the ground running till you can’t go anymore.

Originally we were supposed to depart from IND at 6 on Thursday evening. About 10 minutes before our flight was to board they announced that it had been cancelled. Long story short, we flew out at 6am the next morning.

So we landed at LGA and got a cab to our hotel,

threw our stuff down and hit the pavement! At least till we got to the metro! Our first experience with the Subway.

We took the subway all the way down to Battery Park so we could see the Statue of Liberty. We decided not to spend half of a day going over to Ellis Island and up in Lady Liberty. Seeing it was good enough for us (this time).

After that we walked and walked and saw Ground Zero, Brooklyn Bridge, Chinatown and Little Italy. We stopped in Little Italy to have a bite to eat. YUMMY!!

It was delicious and wonderful! and we were exhausted so decided to not try and go to the Empire State building that night. We would do it the next night. Or so we thought.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped in Times Square (which was a block and half away from our hotel)

And after that off to bed we went so we could get up early and hit it again!

Nashville Girlfriends Getaway!!

So finally the time came for my girlfriends getaway! Thursday thru Sunday with lots of my gal pals, lots of food and lots of beer!

Talk about a great time with great friends! Here are some pictures from the trip, at least the couple that are internet friendly. :-)

The first night, the early crew (and also those of us that went to Nebraska last year), Kara and Jenny made it later that night but we must have had too much to drink by then to take another picture! And also the picture of where I parked the truck! I don’t know what I was thinking! Getting it there was fun, getting it out, NOT SO MUCH!

Day 2 in Miami

Didn't close the curtains all the way so we were up pretty early, about 7. Went and had a great breakfast downstairs, went down to the ocean but it was too windy so ended up laying in hammocks closer to the hotel. Had a little bit of lunch here at the hotel and had a nice nap! Got ready and headed to dinner at Joe's Crab Shack (Not the chain). It was delicious! then walked toward our hotel thru South Beach. Stopped at an italian restaurant and had a couple drinks and then grabbed a cab back to the hotel. Then decided to go for dinner #2 for the night at the Morton's next door. Fun was had by all! It is soo nice to be warm and am dreading going back to the cold and snow! Here are a few pics from today.

Well after last week and the kids being sick and not going to school we are in Miami and kid less! I soooo needed a break! I thought I would post some photos of where we are staying in Miami, it is a Courtyard Marriott and used to be known as The Cadillac. Still haven't gotten a shot of the outside but here is our room and the view from our room. And in case you were wondering it is 75 degrees!! I am once again warm, now if I could just get rid of this headache.

The kids and I went to the Apple Festival in my hometown last weekend. We had a great time hanging with Mamaw and Granny and seeing some of my friends. Leo and Amaya rode the train and they had to stop it part of the way through because Leo wanted off. You can see his face he wanted off! I think Amaya enjoyed it more when she was all by herself on the train. After Mamaw took the kids I went to the car show.

Well it has been awhile. as usual. Halloween is coming and the opening of the haunted house is soon! We are very excited for the Tomb of Doom! So it has been a while and I apologize. We have been living between South Bend and Indianapolis and my blog has been pushed to the back burner. So here are some pics that I have taken over the last month. The ones of the cemetery are from last weekend with Paige. It was so much fun! We talked to the owner of the land and it is where his whole family has been buried. We spoke with him for almost 2 hours and he was a fountain on information, interesting information. Paige and I plan on going back this summer to meet his wife and hear more stories. Anyway, here are some photos! Hope you all enjoy!

Once again I did not post pictures that I have taken the last 3 days. The only ones I have taken where of our old hot tub because we are trying to sell it. So we have tail light of 56 Chevy, a busted frozen beer, and the Tulip Tressel.

Grandma passed away peacefully this evening. I am too tired to get my camera and download the picture I took for today. I will do it tomorrow. Good night!

I can't figure out how to move this down so read below then read the following. :-)
I have named this picture "The Road Home", This is the street that I grew up on, a little further down the road. To understand you will have to read below, I grew up on this street and at the end in this picture is the funeral home where my grandmother's Memorial service will be this week. So from this post can you tell how I am feeling?

First off, Happy 3rd Birthday Leo!! My handsome little boy. I love you more than words.

This picture is in Freedom Indiana. I like it because of the church in the background of Freedom Road sign. For a little background, my grandmother is very ill, the church reminds me that she will be free from pain soon and in heaven with my grandfather. So I saw something symbolic in this picture. More than just a sign, road and church.

I am going to actually do a post on the day it was due!! :-) yeah for me! We had Leo's Birthday at Chuck E Cheese today so that is my pic for today.

Okay, so there are only 3 on here that I took on the correct day. The puddle is todays picture. The car was the picture for the 5th because I wrecked my car in the driveway. I know!! Ridiculous! And the one of my sister is on the 6th. The others are just pictures I picked out because I am tired and needed to get this done. More to come. :-)
